Key Responsibilities/Skills:
- Team Leader for Technical Support Group to be the internal escalation point for resolving problems
- To be available for any technical escalations during non-business hours and weekend
- Any problem resolution should be closed with RCA report and Customer concurrence
- Should be a part of Presale activity as and when required
- Should be available for any complex implementation projects if mandated
Skills Required:
- Primary: Team Management, Linux -Advanced skill Set, Windows Active Directory, Remote Desktop Services, VMware,
- Secondary: Supervise and manage a team of IT support technical specialists and provide effective and timely day-to-day IT support, advice, guidance and diagnosis, and timely problem resolution for clients. The role assists the client portfolio to meet their goals in learning, teaching, research and administrative activities
TECHNICAL SKILL DESCRIPTION
- Develop, plan, and manage IT Desktop Support projects and programs
- Collaborate with client areas and the IT Services Division, to coordinate, schedule, install, configure, integrate, and analyse end user hardware and/or software, devices, peripherals and applications. Monitor installations effectiveness and compliance and ensure configuration management records are maintained.
- Provide timely and effective advice, information and expert technical interpretation on complex IT desktop matters, in a manner easily interpreted by stakeholders
- Linux -Strong in OS (Cent-OS) installation / Maintenance/Administration and configuration.
- Monitor, review and analyses incident management performance metrics and recurring issues/requests
- Installation, Configuration and Troubleshooting of Windows AD in multisite environment
- Installation, Configuration and Troubleshooting of Remote Desktop Services
- Working experience with Dell, IBM, HP Server & Storages
- Installation, Configuration and Troubleshooting of VMWare
- Good working knowledge on LAN & WAN Infrastructure
- Knowledge on Gateway Security products like Sophos, Fortinet, Sonicwall, etc.
- Fundamental knowledge on Mailing Systems
- Basic exposure to a few of Cloud Technologies
- Exposure and working experience in implementation & management of Medium to Large Company Data Center environments
- Should be aware of ITIL
