Our client, a leading software solutions provider, is seeking a proactive and goal-driven Business Development Executive to join their team in Chennai. This role involves identifying new business opportunities, building client relationships, and driving revenue growth by offering tailored software services and solutions.

Job Details:

Key Responsibilities:

  1. Identify and generate leads through outbound efforts, networking, and inbound inquiries.

  2. Understand client needs and pitch appropriate software solutions, products, or services.

  3. Collaborate with technical and pre-sales teams to draft proposals, SOWs, and RFP responses.

  4. Build and maintain long-term relationships with new and existing clients.

  5. Conduct market research to analyze industry trends, customer pain points, and competitors.

  6. Manage the sales pipeline, achieve targets, and provide regular updates to leadership.

  7. Represent the company at client meetings, technology events, and product demos.

  8. Maintain accurate records of sales activities, interactions, and proposals in CRM systems.


Required Skills & Qualifications:

  1. Bachelor's degree in Business, Marketing, IT, or related field (MBA is a plus).

  2. 2+ years of experience in business development/sales in IT or software services.

  3. Familiarity with SDLC, project delivery models, and core IT concepts.

  4. Strong communication, negotiation, and client-handling skills.

  5. Proven ability to meet or exceed sales targets.

  6. Technical aptitude to understand and communicate IT solutions effectively.


Preferred (Nice to Have):

  1. Exposure to international markets (US, UK, Middle East, APAC).

  2. Experience in SaaS, AI/ML, or RPA product sales.

  3. Familiarity with LinkedIn outreach and digital lead-generation tools.

  4. Knowledge of IBM’s ecosystem including products like Cloud Pak, Watson AI, QRadar, Power VS, VPC/Classic, Aspera, and Instana.
