Key Responsibilities/Skills:  

  1. Work with the facility supervisor and workers to ensure on time delivery of consignments as per schedules given by Regional Operations Manager/Head of Operations. 
  2. Implement SoPs for the aggregation, segregation, QA and QC of plastic waste stream.
  3. Continuously improve SoP’s to optimize performance based on the Lean manufacturing principle and six sigma design process. 
  4. Increase throughput per day per worker and yield rates by bringing individual performance based models for workers. 
  5. Increasing plastic sourcing and supply from stakeholders by ensuring ethical sourcing and fair price working closely with the sourcing team.
  6. Facilitate during audits, assessments, client visits and visits by HQ team.
  7. To ensure site hygiene and cleanliness are maintained at all times as per required standards.
  8. Work closely with the Regional Operations Manager/ Head of Operations to find new markets / solutions for the rest of the stream.
  9. Comply with requirements of deployment and sustaining sourcing charters from clients and certification bodies. 

Capacity Building:

  1. Continuous capacity building and training of operation team w.r.t. operational efficiency, segregation, QA and QC etc. 
  2. Conducting one-to-one capacity building to strengthen operational efficiency in the centre in line with SoPs.
  3. Improve supply chain and operational strategy through continuous innovation.
  4. Conduct/Facilitate training programs as per schedule on required topics such as but not limited to health, safety  and environment, financial literacy etc. 

Reporting and Documentation: 

  1. Upkeep and maintain documents and data as needed for meeting compliance wrt workforce, health, safety and environment.
  2. Log KPI data into our application to monitor performance.
  3. Managing, monitoring and reviewing the centre operations periodically.
  4. Ensuring timely, concise and accurate reports on a daily, weekly and monthly basis on prescribed formats and applications.

General responsibilities:

  1. Ensure professionalism at all times and demonstrate exemplary prioritisation of workload skills.
  2. Ensure that the PFC policies, SOPs and protocols are being adhered to at all levels of the company.
  3. Ensure strict adherence to data confidentiality and security.
  4. Willingness to travel frequently across India, sometimes at short notice, including other places as per need of project or company.
  5. Work closely with PFC verticals and Partners.

Knowledge, Experience and Qualifications-

  1. Minimum Graduation/Engineering background is preferred.
  2. 3 + years’ experience in operations and managing people.
  3. Managing the informal sector workforce.
  4. Background in lean manufacturing principles.
  5. Good understanding of social and environmental concepts and methods. 
  6. Experience of being part of any program/project management or field work would be an added advantage. 
  7. Past Experience of working in the fields of  urban or rural development, environment, community relations / interventions would be an added advantage as well.
  8. Passion for problem solving and driving change in a fast paced startup culture. 
  9. Engagement, plastics recycling, waste management will be helpful.
  10. Fluency in English  Kannada, Hindi languages .
