The Factory Manager is responsible for managing all aspects of factory operations, including production planning, workforce management, process optimization, quality control, and compliance with safety regulations. The role ensures that manufacturing processes run efficiently and cost-effectively while maintaining high product standards.

Job Details:

Key Responsibilities:
1. Production Management

1. Oversee daily factory operations and ensure production targets are met.
2. Develop and implement production schedules to optimize efficiency.
3. Monitor workflow and adjust processes to improve productivity.
4. Coordinate with supply chain and inventory teams to ensure materials availability.

2. Quality Control & Compliance

1. Ensure all products meet quality standards and customer specifications.
2. Implement and enforce quality control procedures.
3. Maintain compliance with industry regulations, health, and safety standards.
4. Conduct regular inspections and audits to improve production quality.

3. Workforce Management

1. Supervise and lead production staff, including hiring, training, and performance evaluations.
2. Ensure a safe and productive work environment.
3. Address employee concerns and promote teamwork and motivation.

4. Cost & Process Optimization

1. Identify areas for cost reduction and efficiency improvement.
2. Implement Lean Manufacturing or Six Sigma methodologies.
3. Analyze production data and report key performance indicators (KPIs).

5. Maintenance & Safety

1. Ensure regular maintenance of machinery and equipment.
2. Enforce workplace safety regulations and promote a culture of safety.

6. Coordination & Reporting

1. Work closely with senior management to align factory operations with business goals.
2. Collaborate with other departments, including procurement, sales, and logistics.
3. Prepare and present reports on production performance, costs, and efficiency.

7. Qualifications & Skills:

1. Bachelor’s degree in Manufacturing, Engineering, Business Management, or a related field.
2. Proven experience in a factory management role, preferably in a manufacturing environment. Involving sheet metal fabrication (SS/GI) & machine operations, manufacture of instruments for biopharma industries/ institutes.
3. Strong leadership, problem-solving, and decision-making skills.
4. Knowledge of production planning, quality control, and lean manufacturing principles.
5. Proficiency in manufacturing software and ERP systems.
