They lie at the intersection of the public and private sectors, helping policymakers and development sector actors design data-backed policies and programs.

Job Responsibilities:

  1. Responsible for monthly closing & reporting (includes preparation of account reconciliations and monthly G/L journal entries) for Indian co and US co
  2. Implement the budgeting & forecasting system for the group companies -  CAPEX & OPEX
  3. Support top management in Strategic Business Planning & Pricing Strategies
  4. Co-ordinate in completion of statutory & tax audits and filing Income Tax Return of the company.
  5. Statutory Compliance:  Management (Income Tax, GST, FEMA, Companies Act, PF & PT) & Liaison with Departmental Officials; Efficiency to handle statutory notices and coordinate with the consultants.
  6. Automate processes & introduce Improvements to optimize execution time for routine tasks
  7. Introducing SOP's in finance & accounting - maintain a documented system of accounting policies and procedures.
  8. Co-ordinating with business development and operations team to optimize the tax structuring for overseas projects
  9. Support practice leads / project managers in monitoring practice/project expenses, tracking revenue billing timelines, preparing practice/project based P&L
  10. Liaison with bankers for better credit terms, monitoring the credit balances consistently to minimize the interest cost for the company.
  11. Tracking exchange rate movements and liaisoning with bankers for beneficial foreign exchange rates
  12. Fund management between accounts in India and US cos
  13. Preparing 6 to 9-month Cash Flow Forecasts for India and US cos at a weekly level
  14. Administering the travel policy in coordination with Admin
  15. Ensuring reconciliation of bills submitted by vendors with the underlying supporting documentation.
  16. Tracking project travel and ensure the expenditures are within project budgets.
  17. Reviewing and approving travel bills submitted by employees & ensuring compliance with Travel Policy.
  18. Analyze financial performance against key business metrics and document pertinent financial highlights that will enable management to determine progress against budgets.

Skills Required:

  1. Excellent communication skills and the ability to work in a multi-disciplinary team setting in a fast- paced environment (verbal and written)
  2. Strong understanding of Accounting Software
  3. Able to connect with people and collaborate with key stakeholders effectively
  4. Ability to perform under pressure and meet deadlines
  5. Attention to detail
