Key Responsibilities/Skills:  

1. Reporting to a project manager and/ or technical lead based in Singapore and engaging in the full life cycle software development and project implementation works assigned. This may include development, integration, testing, and deployment of application software
2. Involvement in the requirement analysis phase to determine the implementation feasibility of technical/ functional specifications of the requirement. Highlight requirement gaps, disproportional construction efforts, technical challenges, and any other issues to the business analyst team
3. Coordinating and collaborating with other project team members throughout the project implementation to meet project goals
4. Engage in the maintenance and support activities, which include troubleshooting and support of software application systems when required, perform changes based on the Change Management process
5.  Ensure compliance to best practices, approved frameworks, and re-usable components are employed in the development project
6. Conduct analysis and create Proof of Concept
7. Contribute to the design and architecture of new or re-engineered software environments
8. Prepare written software specifications for product modules from architectural diagrams and documents
9. Create and review design, functional, technical, and/or user documentation, as needed
10. Develop, review, and implement test strategies for software products and systems/for the given systems

Skill Requirements:

Must have at least 5-6 years experience with core competencies in software development using:

1. Core Java and J2EE (including JSP/ Servlets)
2. Web MVC (Spring MVC, Struts)
3. Object/ Relational Mapping frameworks (JPA, Hibernate, etc)
4. DHTML JavaScript framework (Bootstrap, jQuery, ExtJS, Angular JS, DOJO, etc)
5. ANT build tool
6. Mobile application (iOS/ Android, Flutter framework)
7. Spring Boot
8. Spring MVC
9. Restful Services
10. JSON API
11. Maven
12. Relational Database (like MSSQL, MYSQL)
13. Git
14. React/HTML/CSS/Bootstrap
15. Experience developing web-based applications, data processing systems, and enterprise integration systems; application and data migration
16. Knowledge in test scripts development (Selenium, Appium)
17. Experience in full SDLC (requirement, design, develop, test, validate, deploy)
18. Experience working with design documents such as entity relation diagrams, use cases, swim lanes etc
19. 5 - 7 years of related experience with a bachelor’s degree in IT/CS or a related discipline
20. Hands-on experience in Java 8 or newer version
21. Comfortable working in an agile environment
22. Proficient in written and spoken English
23. J2EE application servers (Apache, Tomcat, Jboss, Glassfish, IBM WebSphere)
24. RDMS server: MySQL, SQL Server, DB2, Oracle, or similar database
25. Pipeline development/ configuration on API, SOA, or ETL platform
26. The web portal (WebSphere Portal, Liferay, WordPress, PHP)
