We are hiring for a MS SQL Admin for our leading IT client from Chennai. The candidate as MS SQL Admin must be responsible for daily monitoring – consistency check, fixing missing index, update statistics, backup monitoring, etc

Mode of Interview:

1. Technical round of interview
2. Face to face HR Round

Key Responsibilities/Skills:  

1. 3+ years MS SQL Server Administration experience required
2. Daily monitoring – consistency check, fixing missing index, update statistics, backup monitoring, etc
3. Install and configure MS SQL DB
4. Experience with Performance Tuning and Optimization (PTO), using native monitoring and troubleshooting tools
5. Capacity planning
6. Experience with backups, restores and recovery models
7. High Availability (HA) and Disaster Recovery (DR) options for SQL Server
8. Basic Security audit
9. Certifications is a plus

 

Desired Candidate Profile

1. Bachelor's degree or more than 3 years of equivalent work experience
2. Excellent analytical and troubleshooting skills
3. Self-motivated, independent, detail oriented, and responsible team-player
4. Previous experience of working in a product environment would be an advantage
5. Ability to quickly learn new processes and technologies
