Job Summary
Responsibilities and Duties
- Manage and monitor all installed systems and infrastructure
- Experience with implementing and managing Cloud Environments (Public, Private, Hybrid Cloud) VMware ESXi
- Operation support Experience with VMware vSphere, vRealize Operations, vCloud Director, vCloud Availability, and/or vCenter Converter (P2V migrations).
- Provide systems engineering support and planning, building, installing, troubleshooting, and maintaining three disparate virtual infrastructure environments; storage, server and network with technologies including VMware ESX/vSphere/vCenter, RHEL, Microsoft Hyper-V, Nutanix Prism/Acropolis, IBM Blade Server and Windows Servers.
- Install, configure, test and maintain operating systems, application software and system management tools
- Experience in Active Directory, DNS, and DHCP is necessary
- Familiar with other Windows Server roles and features
- Experience in Exchange Server and Office 365
- Proactively ensure the highest levels of systems and infrastructure availability
- Troubleshoot issues and outages
- Maintain security, backup, and redundancy strategies
- Provide 2nd and 3rd level support
- Respond to and resolve help desk requests
Required Experience, Skills and Qualifications
- 4-5 years’ experience in system administration
- Bachelor’s degree, with a technical major, such as engineering or computer science
- Certifications with VMwareis Mandatory
- Work Experience on Storage (SAN & NAS) and Fabric Switches
- Experience in VMware Horizon and Citrix XenDesktop/XenApp
