We are seeking a dynamic and experienced professional to lead procurement operations for high-volume electronic and mechanical components. The General Manager – Procurement will be responsible for global sourcing, vendor development, contract negotiations, cost optimization, and risk management. The role requires strong leadership to design and scale procurement systems while aligning with the company’s growth and product roadmap.

Key Responsibilities

Build and manage global sourcing partnerships across China, ASEAN, Taiwan, and India.

Develop a category-wise sourcing roadmap (electricals, magnetics, semiconductors, plastics) aligned with product plans and forecasts.

Negotiate contracts, price slabs, credit terms, and JIT schedules with strategic vendors.

Establish and lead a procurement team with category-specific buyers (PCBA, plastics, stampings, magnets, connectors).

Define procurement hierarchy, KPIs, approval matrices, and escalation protocols.

Implement ERP/Zoho-driven workflows across PR → PO → GRN cycles.

Ensure integration of procurement processes with inventory, finance, and payment systems.

Maintain rate contracts and vendor rating systems based on performance.

Handle import compliance, LC documentation, and customs clearance.

Monitor commodity pricing, currency trends, and supply chain risks; maintain a proactive risk register.

Develop alternate vendor strategies to mitigate supply disruptions.

Collaborate with QA on inspection plans, rejection management, and approval protocols.

Work closely with stores for stock reconciliations and with finance for vendor payments, debit notes, and reconciliations.
Qualifications
-
BE/BTech or BCom + MBA in Supply Chain / Operations.

15+ years of experience in procurement within high-volume manufacturing environments.
Preferred Skills

Expertise in electronics sourcing and global logistics.

Hands-on experience with SAP/Zoho workflows.

Ability to manage procurement volumes of ?500–1,500 Cr per year across categories.

Strong leadership, negotiation, and risk management capabilities.
