The candidate as Application Engineer will be responsible to generate new inquiries by obtaining fully completed Engineering Action Requests (EAR) or customer drawings/specifications for new equipment development.

Job Details:

Key Responsibilities: 

1. Generate new inquiries by obtaining fully completed Engineering Action Requests (EAR) or customer drawings/specifications for new equipment development.
2. Review EARs, customer drawings/specifications, and select cost-effective seals; create proposal drawings for potential customers in standard hydraulic applications.
3. Collaborate with field experts to determine seal selection for critical applications and provide technical proposals to customers.
4. Engage with Customer Service Representatives (CSR) and customers to finalize and gain acceptance of technical proposals.
5. Submit commercial offers to customers after technical proposal acceptance, particularly for project inquiries.
6. Provide support during prototype development and installation.
7. Investigate seal failures, analyze potential causes, and prepare failure analysis reports with expert guidance.
8. Deliver technical training to customers on seals, materials, installation, and applications.
9. Visit customers alongside CSR for new projects and development opportunities.
10. Manage projects and maintain detailed project reports.
11. Consult with experts to resolve various technical issues.
12. Maintain records of supplier drawings, standards, and quotes.
13. Keep track of customer drawings, standards, and requirements.
14. Train newly appointed engineers on technical aspects.
15. Prepare technical presentations for customers and internal teams.
16. Participate in promotional activities such as exhibitions and seminars to showcase products.
17. Inform potential customers about the latest seal developments and new compounds.
18. Promote new seals and applications to customers.
19. Attend and participate in technical seminars to stay updated with industry advancements.

Education and Experience :

1. BE in Mechanical Engineering
2. Experience in hydraulics industry / seal business for min of 3 - 4 years
3. Experience in Troubleshooting.
4. Knowledge in AutoCad is must.
5. Good Communication Skills
6. Knowledge in MS office applications
7. Experience in new product development is added advantage
8. Frequent travel is required.
9. Ability to work independently as well as in a team environment.
10. Strong analytical, decision making and problem solving skills
11. Proactive involvement, good initiator.
