CADD Design Draughtsman - Non IT Jobs
  2 - 5 Years
 30 - 40K Per month
  Chennai, India

We are seeking a skilled CADD Design Draughtsman responsible for preparing accurate technical drawings, quantity estimations, and shop drawings for roofing and structural projects. The role requires site measurement, BOQ preparation, technical coordination, and supporting the internal design team to ensure timely project execution. This position combines technical drafting expertise with strong coordination and problem-solving abilities.

Position : Permanent
Location : Chennai, India
Salary : 30 - 40K Per month

Job Details:

Key Responsibilities

  1. Receive and review input drawings and prepare detailed shop drawings

  2. Conduct site visits for physical measurements and drawing validation

  3. Incorporate technical revisions and finalize drawings for approval

  4. Release approved BOQ to the factory for execution

  5. Allocate work to the design team and guide them to ensure quality and deadlines

  6. Prepare tender drawings with quantities and typical project details

  7. Perform quantity take-offs for roofing, side walls, partition walls, flashings, and related components

  8. Resolve disputes related to supply, erection, and quantity variations

  9. Participate in technical discussions and quantity reconciliation meetings

  10. Prepare BOQ based on structural and architectural drawings

  11. Mandatory site visits for multilevel cold storage projects and other critical assignments

  12. Prepare shop drawings based on PO scope and amendment quantities

  13. Support resolution of technical issues during project execution

  14. Conduct final quantity reconciliation for project closure and payments

  15. Prepare As-Built drawings after project completion

Skills & Requirements

  1. Strong knowledge of CADD drafting and shop drawing preparation

  2. Ability to read and interpret structural and architectural drawings

  3. Experience in quantity estimation and BOQ preparation

  4. Attention to detail and technical accuracy

  5. Good coordination and team-support skills

  6. Willingness to travel for site visits when required

  7. Problem-solving mindset with practical field understanding
