We are looking for a Data Governance Analyst to help ensure that business data is accurate, consistent, secure, and properly managed across the organisation. The ideal candidate should understand data governance principles, data quality, metadata management, and data policies, with strong analytical and coordination skills.

Job Details:

Key Responsibilities:

1. Support the development and implementation of data governance policies and standards.
2. Monitor data quality, accuracy, consistency, and completeness across business systems.
3. Identify data quality issues and coordinate with relevant teams for resolution.
4. Maintain data dictionaries, business glossaries, metadata, and governance documentation.
5. Work with business and technical teams to define data ownership and data standards.
6. Assist in establishing data classification, access, and usage guidelines.
7. Track data governance issues and maintain regular reports and dashboards.
8. Support compliance with internal data policies and applicable data protection requirements.
9. Participate in data governance and quality improvement initiatives.

Skills Required:

1. Understanding of Data Governance and Data Quality concepts.
2. Knowledge of SQL and basic data analysis.
3. Familiarity with metadata, data dictionaries, and business glossaries.
4. Understanding of data privacy, security, and access-control principles.
5. Experience with Excel and data reporting tools.
6. Strong analytical and problem-solving skills.
7. Good communication and stakeholder coordination abilities.
8. Exposure to tools such as Collibra, Informatica, Microsoft Purview, or similar platforms is an advantage.
