One of our leading clients is providing an opportunity for an experienced Manufacturing Production Manager to plan, organize, direct, control and coordinates the manufacturing of their range of outdoor leisure products. Reporting to the head of the production, you will be ultimately responsible for the smooth running and timely delivery of all production lines and the quality of output.

Key Responsibilities/Skills:  

You will be required to develop, implement and manage the entire production process, including procuring materials and suppliers per below:

1. Determine, implement and monitor production strategies, policies, schedules, and plans.
2. Plan details of production activities in terms of output, quality, quantity, cost, time available, and labor requirements.
3. estimating, negotiating and agreeing on budgets and timescales with clients, suppliers, and managers
4. Monitor production output and quality.
5. re-negotiating timescales or schedules as necessary
6. ensuring that health and safety regulations are met
7. problem-solving to work through daily issues
8. liaising with line managers, buyers, and marketing and sales staff
9. Recommend and oversee the procurement of new materials
10. Source new suppliers and oversee their onboarding through initial R&D to final production, ensuring they meet necessary auditing, capability, and cost requirements.
11. Direct research into production methods and materials, recommending and implementing appropriate initiatives.
12. Develop and control production schedules, records, and reports.
13. Ensure the product is delivered on time and exceeds the quality requirements

 

Desired Candidate Profile

1. Must be confident and have strong technical skills, project management skills
2. Must have organization and efficiency skills, leadership and interpersonal skills, and problem-solving skills
3. The candidate should have IT and numerical skills
4. Able to clearly communicate with both suppliers and the organization, with strong English speaking and written skills
5. Strong team-working skills
6. Self-motivated, proactive, and reliable with experience in prioritizing and scheduling your own time
7. Experience working with cut and sew factories in the textile industry
8. Experience in sourcing materials, suppliers, and manufacturers
9. Strong technical knowledge in the textile industry with an understanding of the latest fabric compositions, qualities, and limitations
10. Understanding of metal powder coating and fabrication processes
11. Hold a degree in engineering or another similarly suitable field

Working conditions:

• Able to facilitate daily site visits as required
• Monday to Friday, local business hours with weekly meetings reporting to the head of Production
• Work remotely with access to stable and reliable internet
